BUSINESS CARD CAPTURE / MOBILE

Turn an exhibition business card into a reviewed lead.

Photograph the card, extract likely fields on the phone, correct the details and qualify the conversation before the next visitor arrives.

WHY EXPOCOLLECT

Card scanning without invented data.

1

Private on-device OCR

Text recognition runs on the mobile device. It does not depend on a generative AI service and can remain useful without venue internet.

2

Editable review screen

Names, phone numbers, email addresses, company details and other detected fields remain editable before confirmation.

3

Original context preserved

The authorised team can retain the original business-card image privately with the lead for later verification.

4

Manual fallback is immediate

An unclear, damaged or non-standard card never blocks capture; switch to manual entry and keep the conversation moving.

WORKFLOW

Scan, verify and qualify in four deliberate steps.

01

Frame the card

Take a readable photo, check orientation and retake when glare, blur or cropping hides important text.

02

Review extracted fields

Correct spelling, country codes and company details instead of trusting uncertain recognition.

03

Add conversation context

Select product interests, priority, notes and an optional next follow-up while the discussion is memorable.

04

Save locally or sync

The record remains attributable to its exhibition and staff member, including when connectivity returns later.

WHO IT HELPS

Useful where cards still change hands.

01

Busy booth staff

Reduce repeated typing while keeping a clear human confirmation step.

02

Industrial exhibitions

Capture product interest and purchase context alongside the contact card.

03

Managers

Review the original source, lead owner, timestamps and qualification history when authorised.

QUESTIONS

What exhibitors ask before they start.

01

Is the card data saved automatically after scanning?

No. ExpoCollect shows editable fields and requires the user to review and confirm the lead.

02

What happens when OCR cannot read the card?

The user can retake, rotate or continue with manual entry. OCR failure never prevents lead capture.

03

Does card scanning require mobile internet?

The supported mobile recognition flow runs on the device. Server synchronisation waits safely when the network is unavailable.

04

Can every team member view card images?

No. Access follows tenant, event and lead permissions, and card files are stored privately rather than at predictable public URLs.
